Sarah Foster is an Arizona native, born in Sedona surrounded by the beauty of red rocks. She began as an artist in theater and studied acting at the University of Arizona. She graduated with a degree in communications and theater management. She is an avid hiker and stone collector, drawing inspiration for the jewelry from her adventures near and far. Her home (Flagstaff, Arizona) also affords ample opportunity for exploration. She is mostly self taught but continues to take several workshops in the design and creation of jewelry. The unique style of Stone Creek Designs comes from something deeper than technical processes. By constant experimentation, she believes artists learn through their mistakes and triumphs. Sarah believes the key to original art is through this very personal process. Stone Creek Designs has received special attention for presenting at several juried art shows around the country. The awards received include Best of Show for Jewelry - Tempe Spring Festival of the Arts, Best of Show - The Litchfield Arts Festival, First Place for Jewelry Saint George Arts Festival and The Santa Fe Plaza Arts Festival.
